I attended today the funeral of a wonderful parish priest and co-founder of the Missionaries of Our Lady of Divine Mercy, which operates the House of Mercy for the poor of northern Virginia and an orphanage in Africa. A father and widower before discerning his vocation to the priesthood, Father Jack was heroic in his dedication to each role and amazing in his passion for the Lord.
