Patricia Pitkus Bainbridge

Patricia Pitkus Bainbridge is chairman of Human Life International, the largest international pro-life organization in the world. She serves as a director on the Board of Directors of the WitnessWorks Foundation for a Culture of Life and as "Blogger in Chief" of its ongoing dialogue, Veritatis Splendor.

In August of 2010, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, presented Patricia with a "People of Life" award for her "lifetime commitment to the pro-life movement".

A former professor at Michigan State University, Patricia is co-founder and executive director emeritus of Life Decisions International. She serves on the board of advisors Pro Vita Advisors and The Haven, a peri-natal hospice.

She has spoken to numerous churches, pregnancy care centers, schools, community groups and pro-life conferences throughout the world. She is best known for her expertise on Planned Parenthood, the refutation of the arguments typically offered to justify abortion, the pro-life image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and her own spiritual journey.

In September 2002 Patricia was a guest on EWTN's "The Journey Home" where she discussed her journey to the Catholic faith.

Patricia served for 10 years as director of the Respect Life Office for the Diocese of Rockford, Illinois, as Natural Family Planning coordinator, as a columnist for The Observer (diocesan newspaper), and (for seven years) as chairman of the Department for Life of the Catholic Conference of Illinois.
